Why Communication & Perspective?<\/span><\/h2>

When I was twelve, I was at a wedding, talking to a man from former Yugoslavia.
He told me about the war and that he hated his former Bosnian and Serbian neighbours.<\/p>

I kept asking him why. What had they<\/em> actually done to him?<\/p>

We continued talking until eventually he realised that the people he had called his enemies had personally done nothing to him.<\/p>

At the end of our conversation, he gave me a hard slap on the shoulder, smiled enormously and thanked me for helping him realise that he had no reason to hate his former neighbours.<\/strong><\/p>

I was twelve
I didn\u2019t have a method.
I wasn\u2019t trying to guide anyone.<\/p>

I was asking questions because I genuinely wanted to understand…<\/strong><\/p>

That curiosity never really left…<\/p>

Later, people increasingly began sharing their lives with me. In coffeeshops, friendships, relationships and eventually almost everywhere I went, I found myself listening to perspectives very different from my own.<\/p>

I didn\u2019t need to adopt them.
I wanted to understand how someone could arrive there.<\/strong><\/p>

Over time, I began to see how enormously powerful communication is.<\/p>

We communicate not only to connect, but also to protect ourselves.<\/p>

We hide behind words.
We soften them.
We weaponise them.
We sometimes say the opposite of what we desperately want someone to understand.<\/p>

But perhaps one of the most important conversations is also one of the easiest to overlook:<\/p>

the conversation we have with ourselves.<\/strong><\/p>

And perhaps even more importantly, the things we do not dare to say to ourselves out loud.<\/p>

I know the darkness of self-destructive self-criticism very well.<\/p>

Strangely enough, one of the places where that began to change was the dance floor.<\/p>

At first, a compliment was simply nice.<\/p>

Then there were ten.
Then hundreds.
And eventually, over the years, literally thousands.<\/p>

But it was never really about my dance moves.<\/p>

Apparently, they are pretty good. \ud83d\ude04<\/p>

What people seemed to respond to most was the freedom.<\/strong><\/p>

The enormous smile on my face when I completely let go. The joy of being so absorbed in the music that, for a moment, nothing else seemed to matter.<\/p>

Sometimes someone would come up to me and say:<\/p>

\u201cMan, I saw you dancing and suddenly I had to dance too. It just happened. Thank you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Those are still some of the moments when I feel like the happiest person on earth.<\/p>

Not because somebody thought I was a good dancer.<\/p>

But because, for a moment, I was able to share a little of my freedom with someone who was open enough to receive it.<\/strong><\/p>

And somehow, they gave something back to me too.<\/p>

No matter how negative your image of yourself is, at some point it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore what the world keeps reflecting back to you.<\/p>

It still took me until my early thirties to truly allow that reflection in. Until then, I danced, but compared with the way I move today, I was still holding a lot of myself back.<\/p>

Eventually, I began to own those credits.<\/p>

And the more I allowed myself to see what others had apparently been seeing for years, the more freedom entered my movement.<\/p>

But there was another side to it.<\/p>

The same appreciation that helped me recognise something beautiful in myself could also make me want to keep dancing for others, even when I was going beyond my own limits.<\/p>

The same communication can liberate us and still become something we hide behind.<\/strong><\/p>

Perhaps that is why perspective matters so much to me.<\/p>

Not because one perspective is necessarily right and another is wrong.<\/p>

But because the way we see ourselves, others and the world around us shapes the conversations we are able \u2014 and sometimes unable \u2014 to have.<\/p>

And sometimes one honest question can create a small opening in something we had considered absolutely true.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

How I Guide<\/span><\/h2>

I do not believe my perspective needs to become yours.<\/p>

And I am not here to tell you which of your perspectives are right or wrong.<\/p>

I am interested in how you arrived there…<\/strong><\/p>

Together, we can become curious about the stories you tell yourself, the words you use with others, and perhaps most importantly, the things you find difficult to say out loud.<\/p>

Sometimes we may discover that a perspective still serves you.
Sometimes we may discover that it no longer does.<\/p>

We do not have to replace one story with another.<\/p>

We can simply create enough space to examine it.<\/strong><\/p>

What are you actually observing?
What are you assuming?
What might you be protecting?
And what other variables might there still be?<\/strong><\/p>

I may offer you my perspective.<\/p>

Not as the truth.
Not as something you need to adopt.<\/p>

Simply as another place from which we can look.<\/strong><\/p>

Because sometimes one honest question is enough to create movement in something that has felt absolutely true for years.<\/p>
